The Queen bee is the heart of your hive and her genetics directly influences the performance of your hive. With all the work it takes to manage your hives, it makes sense then to have the best performing queen to maximise your production.
We breed Queens from quality genetic stock, delivering characteristics that help optimise hive performance:

We’re also working towards a goal of developing Varroa resistance.
We only offer mated Queens as this allows us to control quality, ensuring strong laying tendencies and brood quality.
Our spring mated Queens bees are available all season from late October to the end of April. Overwintered Queens available in September and early October at a slightly higher price.
We ship nationwide via overnight courier (Mondays & Wednesdays) from our breeding site here in Christchurch, with each Queen in her own cage with a few attendants and candy to provide nutrition. We guarantee you will receive a healthy, beautiful, mated Queen.
